25 Random Things About Me

  1. I won a contest in the 3rd grade for best drawing of Tony the Tiger.
  2. I was 5’1″ by the age of 9 and 5’7″ by the age of 10-I’ve only grown 3″ since!
  3. I took the entrance test for Our Lady of Grace junior high and based on my test results the Principal wanted me to skip a grade. Mom didn’t go for that. She said the test was too easy.
  4. I love percussion instruments, piano and guitar. One day I will tap into my inner musician:-)
  5. I consume dark chocolate on a regular basis.
  6. Empowering women and girls to know their value is my passion — that is something that I will do in my own way, for the rest of my life.
  7. My first professional modeling gig was a 9 month/200 city runway tour, modeling the world’s top designers clothes.
  8. I was named ‘most talented’ in my high school yearbook-I was like, ok-me? Thanks-very flattered:-)
  9. The first commercial I was sent on by my agent was for Colgate toothpaste-I booked it- Smile:-)
  10. I paint, big, textured, colorful abstracts pieces. That’s one of the ways I relax and tune into my peace.
  11. My bridesmaids and I got stuck in the elevator on the way to my groom. Wasn’t long before hotel security got us out. I was fashionable late, as the bride should be.
  12. I sing and dance EVERYDAY. I grew up going to Broadway shows. I love SHOW TUNES! There I said it:-)
  13. I’m big on colon health. Are u getting enough fiber? Good health starts in the gut.
  14. I got hit by a car hailing a taxi in New York. How the heck did that happen?
  15. I have some of the best conversations with perfect strangers.
  16. I am a foodie. I savor. I appreciate. I take my time with each bite.
  17. I took 3 years of Italian in college.
  18. Playing ‘Dolly Levi’ in “Hello Dolly,” still makes it into my top ten list of awesome fun experiences. Meeting Carol Channing brought that experience full circle — What a woman!
  19. I sang backup on a single, once.
  20. I am just learning how to swim.
  21. I ran in the Colgate Women’s Track and Field Games and won 1st place in the 55meter and 2nd place in the 200meter at the semi finals.
  22. It’s been a long journey to truly loving my hair and I finally do.
  23. I began studying thought leaders in personal development at the age of 10 and haven’t stopped.
  24. I took dance classes at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre for many years. I gotta to give a shout out to Miss Dorothy’s dancing school in Mount Vernon, NY though, — that’s where my love of dance began. I was three years old.
  25. When I get angry, upset or I’m really wanting to make a point, the Bronx in me most definitely comes out.
